The Panel: Why Are You Araid of Erasmus? is based on a survey conducted among students of the University of Zadar in June 2024, with the aim of detecting the reasons (mostly fears) why students do not apply for Erasmus in larger numbers. During the Panel, 10-15 students’ statements from the survey will be shown on the screen one after the other, and the panelist will discuss it. The Panel will include panelists from different background: a psychologist from the Student Counselling Centre, two departmental cooridnators responsible for academic side of student mobility, two ex Erasmus+ students and the Erasmus+ coordinator of the University of Zadar as a moderator. At the beginning of the event, the audience will be asked to rate how much they agree with each individual statement on a scale from 1 to 5, from “I do not agree at all” to “I completely agree”, and at the end of the event, the answers will be displayed and discussed by panelists and students who will be asked if they have changed the ideas they had about Erasmus mobility. Target group: all interested students, with emphasis on first year students.
