Scuola Secondaria di primo Grado “Carlo Poerio”

Our project on pollution and climate change is an opportunity to raise awareness among our students about the issue. The students will create a “public service announcement” related to the various forms of pollution that afflict our planet, highlighting the climate change that is already underway. The methodology used will be the flipped classroom. Regarding air pollution, the focus will be on pollution in large cities, proposing solutions such as reducing traffic and planting trees. Additionally, there will be a campaign to reduce the use of single-use plastic, encouraging peers to use reusable water bottles instead of disposable ones.

In a city like Naples, where the sea is a vital resource, it is crucial to raise awareness in the community about the issue of waste ending up in the sea and its impact on marine ecosystems. Emphasizing how the use of renewable energy can reduce pollution and improve the air we breathe. The idea of designing and creating green spaces within the school to revitalize neglected and abandoned areas to demonstrate the benefits of plants in improving air quality.
