A Beautiful Day on the Farm: Celebrating Erasmus Days with EON Today, we celebrated Erasmus Days in the most fitting way possible – by immersing ourselves in the heart of our project, “In The Economy Of Nature The Currency Isn’t Money Yet Living” (EON). Our students spent a wonderful day on a local farm, experiencing firsthand the principles of alternative economies and sustainable living that are at the core of our Erasmus+ initiative. Hands-on Learning in Nature’s Classroom The farm transformed into a vibrant classroom, where theory met practice in the most delightful ways: – Handiwork Skills: Students rolled up their sleeves and learned various practical skills essential for farm life. From basic carpentry to simple repairs, these hands-on experiences taught valuable lessons about self-sufficiency and resourcefulness. – Culinary Adventures: The day was sweetened by a baking session using farm-fresh ingredients. Students not only learned about food production but also enjoyed the fruits of their labor, quite literally! – Community Connection: Surrounded by sincere and knowledgeable locals, our students experienced the power of community. They witnessed how strong social bonds contribute to a thriving, alternative economy. More Than Just a Field Trip This experience was a perfect embodiment of our project’s goals. As part of EON, we strive to: – Raise awareness about individual rights and responsibilities in society – Develop skills that support social initiatives – Nurture future change-makers from a young age – Introduce concepts like social entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and innovation in age-appropriate ways
