The event is intended for pupils of the 2nd grade of the Prague-Kbely Primary School, i.e. approximately 380 children aged 12-15. The event will start at 8:00 a.m., the pupils will walk through the various stations. They will be at each station for 45 minutes. In the last hour between 11:50-12:35 they will be with their class teachers and one mentor each and together they will have a final reflection. The mentor’s task will be to get more valuable suggestions from the students in collaboration with their class teachers to improve the environmental situation in our school and to gain a greater awareness of active citizenship in our district. 22 children from the seventh and eighth grades were on mobility in Berlin this year as part of Erasmus+. These children have already gained a lot of experience to share with the public and with their classmates and would like to develop their experience during the Erasmus days 2024 project day. These children will be the mentors and the main presenters of the Erasmus days. There will be four stations for each year group where pupils will rotate and complete tasks. Station 1: ecology theme (mentors present the outcomes of the mobility from Berlin to the group of pupils, the children perform tasks in which they make correct decisions about ecology in our school, find appropriate solutions, followed by joint reflection and conclusion) 2. Station: active citizenship (mentors will introduce the group of students to the outcomes of the Berlin mobility on active citizenship, introduce what it means, together they will find other options for students to engage in active citizenship, discussion, possible objectives) Station 3: Active use of the German language – language animation (German teachers and mentors will have prepared language animations for the pupils, where the pupils will have to use the German language correctly in practice. There will be several variations for the pupils according to the language abilities of the pupils according to the grade. Station 4: Culture (quiz “What do you know about Germany”, “Do you know Berlin”) Pupils will use ipads and interactive whiteboards to find commonly known truths about Germany and its capital city. Throughout the morning, pupils’ mobilities in Berlin are shown in videos around the school. The whole day will be documented and videoed, then shared on IGKbelyErasmus #Erasmusdays2024.
