– “Red Hen”, dramatization/play with stick puppets – “Bakery”, verbal cognitive activity (we will offer children pictorial materials of bakers and bakery products and encourage them to recognize and name them) – salt dough shaping (small developers, prayer beads, protective aprons, seeds) – “Find the same”, exploratory cognitive activity – based on touch, children find and match the same grains (e.g. corn seeds in a bowl and seeds in a balloon that they cannot see) – grinding corn and wheat in a coffee grinder (we compare color and texture) – filling and emptying containers (of different sizes) with corn flakes using a spoon (we compare quantities – more/less, full/empty) – we sift the flour using small sieves (we will put corn kernels in the flour/ why can’t we sift it?) – “Hungry chick” – children use a spoon to put cornflakes into the opening on the box (the chick’s mouth) We will ask parents to bring (if they have) small aprons and dough developers. We will also invite them to be our guests in the group.
